Using Video Smoke Detection and our patented* Flame Detection technology, the FireVu Multi Detector identifies the presence of smoke, flame and heat at source to deliver an industry leading solution for immediate fire detection.
Unaffected by airflow or stratification it delivers reliable detection even outside or in large voluminous spaces, providing a fast, accurate and very early warning to the presence of fire or rising temperatures outside normally expected levels.
The FireVu system enables operators to immediately raise an alarm and take appropriate action either on-site or through remote monitoring.

The FireVu Annunciator acts as a secure gateway to the FireVu system in addition to automating the configuration process of the FireVu network and deploying individual detector configurations.
The unit is also a MQTT broker handling alarms from the FireVu detectors.
FireVu - Tunnel Fire Detection and Prevention
Tunnel fires can be catastrophic with the scale of lives and property lost. Many tunnels are essential arteries of transport and trade and the subsequent disruption to both can last months and in some cases years.
One only has to think of recent fires such as in the Alps region – Tauern, Gotthard and Mont Blanc to illustrate the horrific power of tunnel fires. The latter, connecting France and Italy, reached temperatures of 1,000 °C (1,830 °F) and burned for 53 hours, 39 people died. 16 people and companies were tried for manslaughter. €13.5 million (US $17.5 million) in compensation was paid by the Italian tunnel operator alone. Repairs, renovations and fire safety upgrades took three years to complete.
It is now mandatory for all tunnels over 500m within the EU to have a fire detection system, it must be a Video Smoke Protection solution if the tunnel is more than 3000m.

Should the possible source of ignition be outside the compound, but pose a danger owing to the vapours in the atmosphere, its smoke or flame will raise an alert and action can be taken immediately.
